The IIHF is taking the next step when it comes to gaming with the launch of the 2022 IIHF eWorld Championship. The tournament will be played on EA SPORTSâ„¢ NHLâ„¢ 22 (PlayStation and Xbox), with the IIHF and its Member National Associations officially licensed and represented in the game since December 2021. Over the course of three phases of competition, beginning with the Qualifiers in mid-June, we will crown the first official IIHF eWorld Champion in July 2022! Get ready and sign up now!

2022 IIHF eWORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The qualifiers have determined the national teams for the group stage. On the 2nd and 3rd July the teams will battle it out for the quarterfinals – live on Twitch!
HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS:
JUNE 2022
PHASE 1: QUALIFIERS
We will kick things off with the Qualifiers. There will be one open online tournament per console (PS/Xbox). The winners of both qualifying tournaments will advance to the group stage.


EARLY JULY 2022
PHASE 2: GROUP STAGE
The two National Champions of each participating country will then be competing in the Group Stage in two groups of 5 and two groups of 6. The top 2 two countries in each group will advance to the Playoffs!
MID JULY 2022
PHASE 3: PLAYOFFS
The two players from the 8 best countries coming out of the group stage will compete against each other in a knockout tournament starting with the quarter-finals. In the end, there will be 4 players from 2 countries left who will play the grand final and play for the 2022 IIHF eWorld Championship title.
